Born in Cuba, Yileny immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of six. Her academic excellence led her to pursue a bachelor's degree in Biology with a Pre-Med track. However, her deep passion for psychology and helping others inspired her to shift paths and earn a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, graduating summa cum laude from Nova Southeastern University (NSU).
As a solution-focused therapist, Yileny helps clients identify their strengths and implement practical strategies to improve their well-being. She also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address negative thought patterns, Person-Centered Therapy to foster self-acceptance and empowerment, and other evidence-based modalities tailored to each client's unique needs. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented, ensuring that clients feel heard and supported while working toward meaningful change.
With a background in medical interpreting, behavioral therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation, and facilitating the Batterers’ Intervention Program, Yileny has extensive experience in guiding individuals through diverse personal struggles. Whether working with children, teens, adults, or families, she is committed to helping her clients build resilience, enhance self-awareness, and achieve a greater sense of balance and fulfillment in their lives.
